The 5/18 show from Munich is a gem,the first set has good versions of Jack Straw,Tennessee Jed and El Paso and extraordinary versions of Black Throated Wind,China -> Rider,You Win Again and Casey Jones.
Before the serious music in the second set begins the boys do a really good Ramble on Rose, then it is on to Dark Star which on this night is a masterpiece,it runs the gamut of emotions and glides into a very good Morning Dew that goes into a rippin' Sugar Mag.The show closes with a potent Saturday Night.

I'm going to disagree on this one--I found the jamming on 5-18 at best average (relative to other shows from that great tour).

4-29 from Hamburg, by contrast, has really inventive jamming on both the long and short numbers. Only drawback is the sound quality isn't quite as sharp as the best-recorded shows on the tour.

Well that clears that up then Lou,what you like is better, after all the jamming is more inventive.
